Roll 'Em, and Leave 'Em There

Proverbs 16:3 (Amplified Bible)

3"Roll your works upon the Lord [commit and trust them wholly to Him; He will cause your thoughts to become agreeable to His will, and] so shall your plans be established and succeed."

How many times do you stress and worry over a certain situation, a problem, a dilemma, a difficulty, whatever you want to call it!?! Worry saps so much energy-yours and those around you. To observe somebody worrying is almost as stressful as worrying yourself! You get a knot in your stomach when you think about the issue, your brow knits in a tight frown, and you can't keep anything straight while you fret. Its so inconvenient to have worries. And yet...God calls us not to! He not only says to 'roll your works onto Him'-fully inviting you to give Him the worry about it, but He also promises to bring you the answer and making it 'agreeable to His will, and so shall your plans be established and succeed.'

For we can totally give the issue to God: we can fall to our knees, cry out with the frustration of it, sob with the hurt it drags with it, and God promises to meet us there! But how many times do we finish this episode-feel His peace and Him literally lifting it off our shoulders and hearts...and then...we pick it up when we walk away again?

Do you do that? Its ok to admit it. I do it too. But think of this next time you lay you problem at His feet. He will take it away, and not only that: but line up YOUR will to match HIS concerning the problem-PLUS cause your plans to succeed! But. He says to LEAVE IT THERE. Don't pick it up again. Give it completely to Him. And He WILL reward your sacrifice and submission. This is where the verse comes into play...

Ephesians 3:20 (Amplified Bible)

20Now to Him Who, by (in consequence of) the [action of His] power that is at work within us, is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly, far over and above all that we [dare] ask or think [infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes, or dreams]--

I'd say that is a pretty fabulous reward for giving God the load of my worrie(s). Wouldn't you agree?

Blessings-and hey...don't worry... ;)

Generations of Virtue: A New Year 2011

Welcome Back to GovJrCrew's Blogspot! =D
::guilty face::....sooo....Its been...a few months...Everybody have a nice Christmas/New Year Break? We sure did. And the GOV Team sure did too.

Its February tomorrow. And here in CS, CO-there's a blizzard doing its business. Since you were last here-there's been a few changes. Generations of Virtue has welcomed 3 new staff members! Two of whom are moving out to CO to work full time.

Generations of Virtue Team has been prayerfully getting geared up for the fast coming 2011 season of conferences, church events, teen tracks, retreats, and loads more. Y'all remember Shamoo- our trailer? Well-he too is being loaded up pretty soon for our first conference of the season (link below of current upcoming events). Inventory is being run-all our Purity line jewelery is being counted, sized, and labeled-new books that have hit the market over the winter are being reviewed, orders are being taken in to stock up, plane tickets purchased, and Sara's taking a look at the road map for routes to conventions. So-as the snow blows outside, and as GOV team is snowed in for the next few days-planning and preparing: keep them in prayer :) They've got a lot on their plate.
